A Kansas City Christmas engagement sesh

Categories   Engagements

This pine scented e-sesh will leave you feeling warm, toasty, yearning for hot cocoa, and reaching to finally light that expensive pine forest candle you thought was sacred. We love this shoot for so many reasons, the number one being Steven Michael photographed it beautifully. It doesn’t get merrier than two turtle (love) doves named Ben + Laura bundled up and on the hunt for their first Christmas tree as a newly engaged couple. Now, if only we could find the nearest Christmas tree farm to recreate this with our beau’s…

Please tell us these pretty farms exist somewhere on the West Coast. Amazing!

There is a tree farm in Central Coast that is pretty awesome! I took a couple photos when I was there in early decemeber here: http://www.winkeland.com/2011/12/tree-farms-do-it-better.html

These farms thrive on the West Coast, Oregon especially (they are the #1 grower of Christmas Trees in the country)... but there are several tree farms in the bay area too.

Love this! That third picture is amazing, by the way. The one that is just a wide shot of part of the farm. Everything seems almost miniature and simple. Definitely some great shots!

How could you take engagement photos which are about love, commitment and joy, CUTTING A TREE?... I undertsand every person has different tastes but this is too awkward for me.

So sweet! I love everything about this! It's often the simplest of venues which allow for the greatest expression of life and personality --and this couple brightens each picture with just that. Perfect.

Yep - these tree farms abound in the Pacific NW (ie Seattle area!). We cut ours every year. Lovely sesh - defnitely putting this as an inspiration idea! Thanks!
