If you’re into details, and we think you are, you’re going to love these photos of Amanda & Luke’s New York wedding from Weddings by Two. Amanda put her heart & soul into the details here (with a lot of inspiration from this very blog, aw!), customizing everything to suit the very sentimental, classy, yet relaxed vibe. They even made a special trip to the venue ahead of time to snap Polaroids to later turn into place cards!

Amanda and Luke have been New Yorkers for six years (and counting) so getting married in the city they love so much was kind of a no brainer. But after looking in Manhattan and Brooklyn, the magic ‘this is our venue’ moment came after checking out Shadow Lawn, an adorably tucked-away spot in the Hudson Valley, a bit further North.

Super pretty invitations by MaeMae Paperie (loving the colors) and some darling little satin shoes!

A photo booth without some super fun costume-y props is not a photo booth at all. Plus, these were snagged from a middle school theatre prop closet, which is just awesome.

Amanda mentioned her guests were so feeling the love that they kept referring to the event as “Lovefest 2010.” Yep, we agree!  Beautiful stuff, you guys. Congrats!

  16. I was almost married at Shadow Lawn and was devastated it didn’t work out for me. I followed Amanda and Luke’s blog while I was planning. I’m looking for a Chantilly Lace, please let me know if you are willing to part with your VW!

  17. Thank you to everyone for your lovely and sweet commments about our wedding!

To confirm, yes my shoes are from Repetto. I purchased them from Toast in the UK but I don’t believe they are available anymore. The style is the Josephine heel if anyone is looking to get them elsewhere.

And to the ladies who are wondering if I’m willing to part with me dress…thank you so much for the inquiry but I’m going to hold onto it for now. I’m hoping it’ll be an heirloom piece in the family and maybe one day even my daughter (if I have one) will want to wear it…or repurpose it.

Also there are TONS more amazing photos on flickr from Weddings by Two you can find through our blog (amandaandluke.com) if anyone is interested.

  18. Love the poster and how it ties in with the invitations.

  19. This is a beautiful, beautiful, BEAUTIFUL wedding! I have been searching everywhere for the perfect nearish-to-the-Capital-Region barn venue for a wedding. Shadow Lawn looks perfect! I’m wondering though, on a scale of 1-10, how pricey it is for a wedding? I hope it’s not rude to ask…I’ve just been trying for find the info on the web and I’m not having any luck. Thanks so much for sharing your day!

  20. Those cute little pigs were added to a cake made by Maxine’s Catering/Bittersweet Bakers located in the Hudson Valley not far from the wedding venue, Shadowlawn. Along with the cake Maxine’s Catering provided Sweet and Salty Caramel Chocolate Cupcakes(YUM!) and Banana Walnut Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Icing. Everything turned out DELICIOUS!
