Chickens! Pitch forks! Boots! And a super sweet, simple, backyard wedding full of lots of love and a bunch of handmade projects.

Kylee and Austin were married at their neighbor’s 119 year old house and had the reception in Kylee’s parents’ backyard (complete with chicken coop and barn). It was and probably will be the biggest backyard BBQ her parents have ever or will ever throw.

Kylee took on pretty much every DIY project possible and it shows in their super personal, extra intimate party. Recycled wine bottles for vases, handmade cake toppers, invites, garter, bouts, corsages, programs, favor bags, etc etc etc. She gets gold stars for doing her whole wedding herself, and loving the entire process.

And there was a bouncy house, which is pretty much the most fun thing ever. And strangely enough, the second bouncy house wedding we’ve shown here.

Thanks so much for sharing your pretty day with us, Kylee!

  29. The dress is an older Casablanca dress.. they don’t have it in stores anymore, but you can order it through a store that sells Casablanca. I’m sure different places vary in price.. but mine ended up to be about $800 with tax. The hair and makeup was done by 2 friends of mine who work in a salon in San Marcos, CA. Feel free to contact me if you want their information (or about anything else)! Love, Kylee

  34. Wow – so fun and folksy… I just love the bouncy house (a dinosaur at a wedding – great!). But I must confess that when I saw the first line of this post, I really wondered about the pitchforks… perhaps it’s too much wedding planning of my own going on, but I wondered it it might be in a capacity more akin to a cattle prod! Was glad to see the pretty results instead…
