Gia Canali sent us this pretty wedding she photographed recently. Logistically it was a challenge, but the bride and groom (with the flawless direction of Heidi from Red25) pulled it off. Their ceremony was at the groom’s family church in Downey (which, for non-locals, is not in LA proper) followed by the reception at a friend’s beautiful home in Agoura Hills (which is also not in LA proper, but utterly in the opposite direction), which meant guests had to drive over an hour from one venue to the next. But guess what? It worked out perfectly and from the looks of it, the reception was worth the drive.

The insanely beautiful balsa wood and coral bouquet was made by the very talented Krislyn. How amazing would that be to have a keepsake that doubles as a pretty bit of decor in your home for years to come? Balsa wood flowers have got to be the next trend. They are extraordinary.

Amazingly a different florist in Downey did the bridesmaid bouquet and a third florist did the table decor. Somehow it all came together perfectly.

Um, hello Tuscan countryside! Doesn’t this look eerily familiar to the tablescape Jillian did with Mel Barlow in Italy last week? And bare wood tables are so luxurious in way. How pretty.

SUCH a beautiful house! If any of you have friends with amazing homes, get married there! So personal and different from a traditional venue.

  16. Such a romantic setting. Your wedding gown is simply gorgeous and so are the flowers. I am ecstatic about your bridesmaid’s dress! I am going to use that design for my outfit on a wedding I’m attending soon. Lovely and fabulous!

  18. Excellent setting but i like most the stones used for writing the couple’s name.

  19. Absolutely stunning! Straight out of a magazine. Great job by the photographer capturing such a romantic wedding.

  20. Thanks for all your comments about my dress! I’m the bridesmaid. The designer of the dress is Kay Unger and I got it at Neiman Marcus back in April. It’s funny because I loved the dress, but part of the reason I chose it was because I just had a baby and the style I could wear with the extra weight or when I lose it too. Thanks everyone for making me feel good about my choice!

  21. BTW, it’s my house too. Aris & Rosalinda’s wedding was so beautiful, we’re considering renting out our house for events if anyone is interested.

  22. GIA!! You rock my world! You are amazing!
