Their first tip? If you want to incorporate paper flowers, be sure to let your floral designer know right away! Alicia of Flirty Fleurs says, In the height of wedding season, floral designers often place their flower orders well in advance and by having the paper blooms in their hands, no less than 30 days before the wedding date, you will give your floral designer ample time to create the perfect bouquet for you and your wedding.

We knew that the key to a successful collaboration of our paper and fresh floral bouquets would be the color palette. These color choices inspired the creation of paper flowers by Pink & Posey as well as the vision of the overall floral composition. The day before the event, we met at the flower market with paper flowers in hand. We chose fresh flowers to complement the paper flowers in shade, tone, and scale. We wanted to create balanced bouquets that highlighted both mediums.

Pro tip: The material matters when it comes to creating faux flowers. The team chose to use paper because they don’t come off as artificial, they stand on their own as works of art. They also blend in really beautifully with the real blooms, and the major bonus is that you can obviously keep them long after the others are gone.
