Few themes capture the imagination quite like a Taylor Swift Eras party. With so many iconic albums, aesthetics, and lyrics to draw from, the possibilities for a Swiftie-inspired celebration are endless. If you’re searching for creative Taylor Swift birthday party ideas—whether for kids, teens, or even adults—this Eras-inspired celebration shows just how magical a Swiftie party can be.
This birthday brought the magic of Taylor’s music to life with colorful tablescapes, disco-ball florals, friendship bracelet stations, and desserts inspired by each Era. It’s the perfect inspiration for anyone dreaming of turning their next party into a mini Eras Tour experience. The result? A magical day filled with music, glitter, friendship bracelets, and the ultimate Swiftie energy, designed by Mama Krissy Dimond, and captured by Alison Bernier. See all the fun below!
Mama Krissy said, “When Pia told me she wanted a Taylor Swift Eras party for her 8th birthday, as a huge Swiftie for over 15 years, I was both thrilled and overwhelmed! I wanted to do Taylor’s remarkable catalog justice while also creating a kid-friendly, fun day for Pia and her friends. Pia immediately knew that she wanted to assign a single Era to different sections of the party.
With this, each kids table represented its own Era – Midnights, Red, and 1989 – and Pia’s most favorite Eras – Reputation and Lover – were assigned to our dessert tables. On each table, we were meticulous with the colors and details representing each Era and its music, such as jewel-tone candy gemstones, a clock with hands at midnight, the 1989 polaroids, and the infamous red scarf.”
MV Florals created stunning arrangements, varied in color and style, in disco ball “vases” to coordinate with each color scheme, and also donned 10 disco balls hanging on our pergola with colorful baby’s breath, each representing one of Taylor’s Eras. Just wow!
Creative Decorations for a Taylor Swift Themed Birthday Party
From the outset of planning the party, Pia wanted it to feel more like a concert than a birthday party. With this in mind, Chelcea Cupples Creative designed a concert ticket-inspired invitation and RSVP, peppered with Taylor Swift lyrics throughout for our fellow Swifties. Chelcea also designed the most fun acrylic and paper details for their decor, Krissy’s favorite being the foam board faucet for their recreation of the jewel-filled Bad Blood bathtub. The jaw-dropping coffin and flying heart signs for their dessert tables, were brought to life by Creative Amme.
Taylor Swift Inspired Desserts and Food for Kids’ Parties
Sugar Crush Sweets delivered stunning desserts, including perfectly-themed Reputation and Lover cakes, red heart macarons, pink cheesecake shooters with chocolate music notes, microphone and jeweled cupcakes, chocolate foil snakes, and even jam-filled mini bad blood cakes, complete with a fondant knife stuck through the center! Danielle Keene of Sheila Mae really came through for us by baking the most delicious, detailed sugar cookies for every Era, as well as pastel heart-shaped rice krispie treats for the Lover dessert table.
Fun Activities and DIY Stations for a Swiftie Celebration
Their guests got creative with Camp Lila, who designed a collage station where guests could use Taylor song-inspired pictures and photos to create a collage of their favorite Era. And since no Taylor Swift party is complete without a friendship bracelet-making station, they also brought beads of every kind and color, so the girls could line their wrists with their favorite songs. Kiddos enjoyed individual charcuterie-filled disco balls, complete with purple guitar- and star-shaped cheeses and purple glittered fruit from Elysian Eats, representing Speak Now.
Outside under “willow” branches lining the pergola, Sip Sip Mobile Bar poured lyric-inspired mocktails at their “Getaway Bar,” while the kiddos were treated to Taylor-themed hair and face glitter and colorful hair extensions.
Consistent with the concert vibe, while the DJ spun Pia’s favorite Taylor Swift hits and kiddos took to the dance floor, their guests enjoyed a “merch stand” where they chose a guitar pick from a wooden guitar to win Taylor-related merch.
From the sparkling disco balls to the friendship bracelet stations and every lyric-inspired detail in between, Pia’s Taylor Swift Eras birthday was a celebration to remember. For fellow Swifties searching for creative Taylor Swift birthday party ideas, this celebration proves that with a little imagination, you can transform any gathering into an Era all your own. Long live the memories made on this special day!
