Nothing like a beautiful Amalfi Coast elopement popping up in the 100LC inboxes. So dreamy! After taking our sweet time perusing Jessica Janae’s photos, we heard Nikki + Caleb’s story: They work in hospitality and a big, traditional US wedding seemed too impersonal. Plus, considering they already wanted to go on a family trip to Italy, the location was a no-brainer. So with both their parents and just four other guests, they headed straight for the Amalfi Coast for a full week of festivities…

This view! Sigh.

They hooked up with Jessica Janae at Furore’s Fiordo di Furore beach before the ceremony to snag some amazing shots without having to wait to spend time with their guests after saying I Do. She captured additional portraits at the venue afterward, but they ended up with enough time to join everyone for an aperitivo + antipasto cocktail hour before dinner!

Nikki tells it, Aside from the photography, the music, and the officiant, everything was in-house through our gracious hosts, Michela and Nicola Cuomo, owners of Agriturismo Sant’Alfonso (a converted 17th century monastery and farmhouse) in the village of Furore along the Amalfi Coast… From the flowers, to the six-course dinner with the freshest ingredients from the region, and every little detail in between, it was an absolute dream. The reason we initially chose Agriturismo Sant’Alfonso was because of the location. With its expansive views of the Mediterranean, I knew it would be beautiful no matter what. But then to have an absolute dream team, who needed little to no direction, take our vision and create an even better version of what we had imagined, made it that much more special, allowing us to truly enjoy every moment of our day (and week!).

And a quick tip for any of you planning a destination elopement: Take your time! They took a year to plan, and in the end that ended up being the perfect amount of time to really make sure everything was done how they wanted it.

Not only a one-stop-shop for our ceremony needs, Agriturismo Sant’Alfonso also allowed us the ability to have our friends and family in one place to enjoy the festivities and celebration leading up to our wedding day. We were able to ease into the trip with copious amounts of wine, fresh homemade food, and cliffside views for days, all from the comfort of the private agriturismo. The owners, Michela and Nicola Cuomo along with their small staff, provided an intimate experience unlike any we had ever experienced. Of course, you expect that level of service for your wedding day, but to be presented with such elevated hospitality our entire stay made it truly magical.

Now just imagine the classic Italian music playing in the background….

And one last story from our bride…
After we cut the cake, we requested songs for the standard wedding dances, including Never Going Back Again by Fleetwood Mac for our first dance, Everything I Own by Bread for my father-daughter dance, and then Beautiful Boy by John Lennon for Caleb and his mom (what can I say, we’re a product of parents from the 70’s). However, as Beautiful Boy started to play, the agriturismo’s speaker system started going out, leaving us without any music. From there, we all started belting Santeria by Sublime in unison (an inside joke between Caleb and his mom). In his mom’s words, that was better than it could have gone, and truly encapsulated their close relationship. From there, we continued trading off songs to sing to into the rest of the night, from Bob Dylan to Dean Martin, even the Lion King soundtrack (mind you the limoncello and grappa were readily flowing at this point). It could not have been more perfect.
So fun. Totally sold on this sweet venue now, by the way! Wishing you the best, N + C.
