10 ways to plan your wedding while in quarantine

How are all our couples doing? Hanging in there? As shocking as the idea of planning a wedding while in quarantine is, there IS a teeny bit of comfort in knowing that you are not alone. All engaged couples, along with the entire wedding community are in this together, figuring it out as we go. So, in hopes of providing just a little bit of normalcy in such a strange time, we put our heads together to come up with different ways to plan your wedding while in quarantine.

1. Should you postpone your wedding? The first thing to consider are your options when it comes to potentially postponing your wedding. You won’t be able to pick a new date with 100% certainty, but there actually are some benefits of rescheduling the big day, for you and your vendor team.

2. Cocktail tasting. Choosing a signature cocktail for your wedding is definitely a quarantine-approved activity. (Not to mention 100LC approved.) Assuming you are quarantined with your future spouse, this can be a cute at-home date night activity to get inspired to keep spirits up (hehe). Whether you DIY your own cocktails or support a small business and order in (if in an area that permits it), cocktail tasting is definitely not canceled!

3. Go shopping! Whether it’s DIY supplies or bridal accessories, the internet can come to the rescue. Make the most of having more time to make decisions (or get inspired creatively) to gather what you know you’ll want. Picking out decor items, bridesmaid gifts, stationery for ‘thank you’s,

4. DIY. Speaking of DIY, now is a good time to Netflix and craft, depending on what supplies you have/can safely obtain.

5. Build that wedding playlist. Your favorite songs are bound to give you a pick-me-up.

6. Zoom chat your ‘maids. Keep in touch with your wedding party by “meeting up” when you can, even just for virtual HH. Engagements bring the whole wedding party together and you can still experience some of that from afar.

7. Begin the venue hunt. For those in the early stages of planning, you might have some big vendor decisions to make while in quarantine. Video chatting venues, virtual tours, and even safely driving by are a few options you still have at your disposal.

8. Kay, we KNOW a virtual bachelorette party will never sound as alluring as the real deal, but if your best friend’s bach was canceled due to Coronavirus, you’re probably already on cheer-up duty, right? You’d be surprised at how much you can pull off when it comes to a virtual bachelorette party, so set a date and make it happen!

9. Virtual wedding dress shopping. Whether it’s for your bridal party or the wedding dress itself, bridal shops and designers are doing everything they can to offer virtual appointments, at-home try-ons, and lots more.

10. Wedding postponement checklist. For those who’ve decided to postpone their wedding, see if your planner can help you create a checklist for coordinating the change.

Coronavirus has affected everyone’s wedding plans differently, so even if you can only choose a task or two, we hope it sparks some inspiration for your day… because it will come, no matter what.
