Fruit Escort Cards

In the spirit of incorporating simple, beautiful earth-friendly elements into your wedding, Hello! Lucky sent over this yummy idea for seasonal fruit escort (or place) “cards.”

“”It was recently cherry season here in California (and I understand that East Coast cherry season is coming up in the next week or so!). We found these gorgeous Ranier cherries at our local farmer’s market, affixed seating tags to the stems, and put them in vintage teacup saucers (these help the cherries stand up and make for a more uniform-looking display). Practically no effort, but beautiful and tasty!”

Rainier cherries are so incredibly luscious and beautiful on their own, they make a smashing little stand for a guest name.

We were thoroughly inspired by the idea that Jillian put together a second version using pears. (For fall/winter brides of course, we do like to go by the season).

Or all gussied up in gold leaf. (All you need to do this is a gold leaf kit from your local craft store).

You can download templates for cherries here, and pears here.

Simple, pretty and inexpensive. You might just need a small team of helpers to affix the labels the morning of the wedding if you’re using something as delicate as cherries. Perhaps over lattes before you start to get ready?
