Gifts for men can seriously be the hardest, we all know that. But anniversary gifts? That’s when the real pressure’s on. No matter how well you know your guy, it always takes longer than you think to find *the* gift. It’s about time we shared some of the ideas that we’ve come across lately—a gift for years 1 to 10.

10 anniversary gifts for men

1st: Paper. A custom photo album of your first year of marriage from Preservation + Creation.

2nd: Cotton. A bocce ball set in a cotton canvas bag.

3rd: Leather. Handmade leather dopp kit to take on all of your future trips together.

4th: Fruit or Flowers. Make a beautiful cheese board with lots of fruit (maybe using one of these beautiful boards) for a special dinner at home.

5th: Wood. French tournament backgammon and chess set.

6th: Candy. A sampler of Mast Brothers chocolate.

7th: Copper. Copper cocktail shaker.

8th: Pottery. “Camp” coffee mugs for sharing quiet mornings together.

9th: Wicker/Willow. Wicker picnic basket for picnics together for years to come.

10th: Tin/aluminum. German kerosene lantern for evenings together in the great outdoors.

Bridesmaids portrait

Ready for the lowdown on S + J’s wedding weekend? It started with Friday night welcome drinks (spicy grapefruit margs to be exact) and a campfire hangout. Saturday was spent with guests playing every camp game imaginable before gathering at the lake for a traditional Jewish ceremony. Then there were cocktails at the boathouse and a magical tent reception. And a sparkler sendoff. And another bonfire. Um, how fun does all that sound? Thanks to Michelle Boyd Photography for sending this one our way!

Cocktail bar calligraphy

This winter cocktail party comes at the perfect time. The holidays are over, the excitement of the January 1st is starting to fade—even for those of us who are killin’ it with our resolutions (which are to throw more parties, we’ll assume…). Layered Vintage + Plum and Oak Photo will be the first to tell you that all you need are good friends and a killer drink recipe to spice up an ordinary weekend. Who says you need to leave the winter festivities behind when the holidays are over?

Metallic wooden triangle backdrop

Sooo yeah, that stunning sequin gown from ASOS? Just one of three glamorous dresses we have for ya today. (You saw our other ASOS bridesmaids picks, right?) Makeup artist Dani Cepeda had this idea to push all the glitz ‘n glam of a bachelorette party right up against the natural backdrop of the cliffs along the coast. She enlisted A Bit Of Spark & Sparkle Events (aptly named, huh?) to bring her vision to life and Michelle Roller got it all on camera in the post.

Seaside bridal portrait

Generally when you think of beach weddings, you think bright ‘n sunny, right? Well, when you have a private beach on the shores of Lake Ontario in Canada, the scene might be a little different, in the absolute best way. On the day Michael of Ballad Photography + team set out to photograph their seaside wedding inspiration, thick fog rolled in and added a moody air to the whole scene. You can’t plan this stuff, ya know?
