Marrying a professional graphic designer has its perks. And so does hiring Erin Hearts Court. For one, all of the design from the invitations to the programs, stickers, menu cards, escort cards, etc. etc. come out spot-on-gawgeous. Can you guess who the designer is? It’s Andrew, our groom. Then there’s the stellar photography of Erin Hearts Court. Nicole + Andrew envisioned a relaxed outdoor wedding on a breathtaking country-esque plot of land, and their photos – well, they tell that tale in the most beautiful way possible, starting with this sweet strapless polka dot tulle dress.

Since Andrew is a graphic designer he did all the print materials and invitations. We splurged on letterpress for the actual invitations. We had them printed at Quality Letterpress. The other print materials were not letter pressed and we had them printed at Sunset Press. Highly recommend – they’re both great to work with and printed everything super fast.

They had a string quartet play classical music during the ceremony and then some blue grass and old jazz standards through the cocktail hour. As far as the songs, the bridesmaid processional was, Air on the G-String,  brides processional was, Jesus Joy of Man’s Desiring, and for the recessional, Bill Cheatham.

Dahlias, garden roses, hydrangea, and ornamental cabbage were used in the arrangements. Simple, classy and doesn’t distract from the already scenic venue!

Their first dance was to “Our House” by Crosby, Still, Nash, and Young, the Father/Daughter dance was to “Little Trip to Heaven” by Tom Waits, and the Mother/Son dance was to,”If You Want to Sing Out” by Cat Stevens.

Wow, this last photo leaves such an impression! Would you believe this venue is located in Southern California? We wouldn’t have either.

Congratulations Nicole + Andrew!

We always say this, but you guys, here comes another super cute sale. Air plants! They are so popular right now, and rightly so. Their interesting textures and muted colors make for beautiful decor, plus if you’re doing your wedding design yourself, you can buy them ahead of time and you don’t need to stress that they’re going to wilt in the sun on your wedding day. And it’s pretty clear that everyone loves a giant tillandsia (xerographica) bouquet. Those beauties never get old!

You can buy all sorts in the Pop-Up Shop through Saturday. Buy one xerographica for a statement bouquet, or a pack of ten to feature on each table and around your reception. Pick up a pack of 50 Ionantha Rubra, and sprinkle them down the center of a long family-style table. Or hand them out as favors to your guests with a little note attached. And event designers, we’re talking to you too. This is an amazing opportunity to stock up on decor!

Of if you can’t decide, take the credit of $100 towards Air Plant Supply Co. for just $50. It’s straight Groupon madness around here today.

And now, some gorgeous inspiration from weddings featuring air plants:

Kay, lovelies. The last, but most definitely not least, photos of Hitched. This bunch shows off pretty tablescapes from Carter & Cook (with florals by Arrangements) and Sugar & Fluff (florals by Tend Living). Plus Mae Mae’s wall of gorgeous paper, the Aqualillies (synchronized swimming is amazing!), and the epic dance contest that we were super excited to judge along with Katie of Ever After Honeymoons and Sharkpig.

First, Carter & Cook.

Mae Mae Paperie’s beautiful, inspired work.

Awesome succulent table runner from Sugar & Fluff and Tend Living.

Katie’s cute Mexican-themed honeymoon set up and majorly whimsical cakes from Juliette’s Bakery.

(Amelia Lyon, and bottom right Max Wanger)

The ladies of the pool! How amaaazing would it be to have the Aqualillies perform at your wedding reception or event?! It was freezing out there, you guys, and they rocked it like it was a balmy afternoon.

Smilebooth-in’! Always always a good time. This one had markers available so guests could graffiti the wall. fun!

And the dance contest and party. Which we clearly don’t need to say again, for the 43rd time on this blog, but Michael makes a party like no one else we’ve met.

Oh yeah, it got cahraaazzy there for a while.

(Erin Hearts Court)

Our sexy winners. Everyone wanted to be them for a moment. Plus, um, they won a week trip to Mexico from Ever After Honeymoons!

(Brandon Kidd)

Yeah yeah. It was a pretty rad time all around.

Thank you sooooooo much to the ladies of Hitched (Bash, Please & Urbanic) for putting on another outstanding party. And to all the creatives who made it so desperately cute. To the Ace for hosting and for tray passed PBRs. And to all you who came out and made it such a fun time. Can’t wait to see what happens at the next one!

Next up in the Hitched recap we have Urbanic’s amazing paper display (Audrey is one of the main ladies of Hitched), plus Urbanic’s partnership with Unscene… which is truly some of the most excellent wedding paper around. (We’ve got more from these ladies coming soon, promise.) And there’s MaeMae’s beautiful, whimsical work too. Her style is so lovely and fun.

(Love Me Sailor)

Super sweet diorama from Cactus & Quail and Tend. Their tumbleweed chandelier was amazing!

The Life Styled set up and the super hot fashion show, MC’d by the beautiful Catherine herself.

Totally rad Rue Magazine Groom’s Lounge, with haircuts from Rudy’s Barbershop and tunes from DJ Smiles Davis, of the Flashdance.

(Amelia Lyon)

And yet, there’s still more! We haven’t even shown you the synchronized swimmers, other tablescapes or the dance off yet. They are coming though, we promise.
