100 Layer Cake

Janet and James are a very simple and relaxed couple, so for their engagement shoot they wanted to capture a very natural vibe that reflected what their day-to-day life is like. Caroline Tran decided to do a lifestyle shoot with them, documenting them hanging out around a gorgeous Hollywood Hills home (that actually belongs to a friend of theirs) that had recently been featured in Architecture Digest. It was all together a down to earth, casual but of course slightly glammed-up shoot.

Sometimes a couple likes to keep their love story private, and we’re okay with that. This is one of those times, but you know what? These photos, captured by Russian photographer, Alyona Arnautova really tell a story themselves. The couple wanted their engagement shoot to feel very free and natural, so they kept to their awe-inspiring log cabin and Turtle Lake, a place nearby surrounded by thousands of butterflies. Simply breathtaking!

Jordana of Hazelnut Photography was ecstatic when her sister got engaged, so when their family planned a vacation in Tuscany, she knew she wanted to capture a little bit of that passion in her sisters’ engagement session. They pulled inspiration from Sophia Loren and the gorgeous Italian cinema of the 1960s & 70s. They wanted it to feel easy and relaxed, just the way Tuscany makes you feel. They popped into alleys and doorways, then made their way through the sunflower fields and olive trees.
