Cakies, allow us to kick the new week off with some of the loveliest summer bridal bouquet ideas we’ve seen this year, as captured on film by Sierra Ashleigh Photography. The ever-talented Katie of Ponderosa and Thyme was inspired by their surroundings in Salem, Oregon, when dreaming up these two bouquets. Katie of Ponderosa and Thyme says, A little more subtle and often a lot more thoughtful, I find that playing off and using the colors and textures that are currently happening in nature can create a comforting, and somewhat down to earth floral experience. This time of year in the Willamette Valley is all about teeny tiny flowers en mass, spread over fields and grouped in clusters on trees. So, I made a bouquet like that… no focal flower to be seen, but fresh and light as springtime rain. That’s what Nature’s doing right now, and she’s the best designer out there so I’m not arguing.

I love trying to pay attention to natural flower patterns and habits during the different seasons, and then using that information to create a gentle bridal bouquet that is very in tune with its surroundings.
