How adorable was this morning’s newlywed session, guys? We’ve got one more set of photos to share with you before we head into another gorgeous May weekend, this time coming to us from Kayla Snell and Carmen of LoveBash. Not only is it full of fresh, peachy summer wedding ideas, they are all super attainable and (even DIY-able!) for all you looking to add some creative elements to your own events… On a budget, no less!

First off, these florals. Christin of Clementine Botanical Art created peach arrangements that look like they were made for their venue, Garden Grove in Austin.

These pretty illustrations are actually the “match a pair of birds” memory game set, that you can snag at Terrain!

Carmen tells us, Ask anyone in town—Taylor Jarrett and Dagny Piasecki are the “it couple” of Austin. Because they both have backgrounds in modeling and are photographers, they were such a breeze to work with. And hello, isn’t Dagny’s red hair to-die-for? I love shooting with real-life couples because they’re so comfortable with each other and that really translates into the emotion you can feel through the photos.

Hair and makeup artist Makenzi Laine created a bridal look that felt fresh, natural, and polished.

Carmen’s tips for building a tablescape on a budget…
The décor was where I really played with the mix of high and low. We rented all of our bigger furniture and décor pieces from Loot Rentals—the giant reed jardinières were my all-time favorite! The high dollar pieces I selected were two stacked marble candlesticks from Anthropologie and linen napkins from Terrain. But I think brides will be surprised to learn that our dinner plates were from Target, all our glassware was from IKEA, and our tablecloth was cut at Joann Fabric. My number one tip when designing on a budget is to splurge on a few show-stopping pieces and fill in with basics that blend into the background.

They envisioned their bride + groom hosting an elevated picnic style dinner, with everything served up via their local grocery store. Their tip? Try to stick to an overall color palette and include small portions of lots of different options. For cheese, you can choose a few different ones with different flavors and textures so everyone is happy *and* the spread looks beautiful, too.

And we’ve even got one last wedding budget tip for ya: Those invitations you see in our gallery above? All the paper goods in this shoot are from Artifact Uprising… You could even create the exact same suite if you wanted. Don’t forget to enlist a talented calligrapher like Lunita Calligraphy to put the finishing touches on your paper pieces!

Happy weekend, Cakies! Big thanks to Kayla Snell and LoveBash for all the inspiration + advice.
