Spring Lilac garden-inspired bridal shower tips
One of our fave things about wedding editorials is seeing how designers combine unlikely bits of inspiration to create an event that’s not only super cohesive, but totally achievable, too. When Frances of Prema sent these photos Laura Murray captured of her design + florals our way, we couldn’t help but think of how gorg her modern minimalist-meets-retro vignette would be for a spring bridal shower. See what we mean (bridal shower tips included!) below:
How stunning is this bouquet? Frances says, We sought to align the modern minimalist look of the moment with subtle and playfully retro touches. The color palette of muted lavender and lilac, copper, ivory and chartreuse with the occasional richer accent color, nods to decades past and celebrates seasonal spring blooms such as lilac, ranunculus and double blooming tulips.
The team was all about embracing the season with this shoot. Their tip: Your bridal shower can be a time to choose a totally different muse than you and your partner’s wedding style, so don’t be afraid to highlight your fave season with the flowers and color palette.
Your wedding day is all about you and your groom, but your bridal shower can be a time to celebrate the relationships with the special women in your life. For example, is your mother’s favorite flower lilac? If so, perhaps have your florist incorporate that variety of flower in the shower arrangements as a nod to your mother. Wearing your grandmother’s classic pearls or bracelets is a lovely demonstration of affection as well. We love styling sentimental heirlooms and vintage elements with a fresh modern look to make it feel personal and unique.
Smitten with this nude BHLDN dress for a bridal shower, rehearsal, or reception dress even.
And lastly, a spectacular cake isn’t just for the big day. Pretty cake and champagne makes for a festive prelude to the wedding day, and will get you even more excited for what’s to come.
Thanks to Frances and the team for these spring bridal shower tips + inspiration!
