Bridal Spring 2018 wedding trends

April 28, 2017

Thought we’d end the week on a high note here at 100LC with a little recap of the magic that was Bridal Fashion Week. Have any of you been following the Spring 2018 bridal lines? We gotta say, we’re pretty much on board with each of the wedding dress trends (All-over beading, Bows, Glamorous capes, Floral Embroidery, Pant suits, and Classic chic) our fave designers (like Naeem Khan Bridal Spring above) dreamt up for 2018. First up? All-over beading.

Pearls and other iridescent jewels made their way onto the runway, with the common thread (no pun intended) being all-over beading. Super glam yet romantic.

Who doesn’t love a good well-placed bow? If you want to pull off something as classic (and often misinterpreted) as a bow, it’s gotta make a statement. Larger-than-life bows are the perfect adornment for an ultra modern gown.

You might recall that capes and capelets were huge for 2017, so it’s no surprise that they’re back again this year. This time around, they’re given a dramatic upgrade with jewels, embroidery, and floor-length cuts. Who needs a veil?

Floral embellishments will always speak to the romantic bride, but the 2018 collections—once again—played up the drama with allover application on surprising silhouettes.

Adventurous brides-to-be, we’re happy to report: pants are here to stay and they’re more inventive than ever. We’re thinking the trick to pulling this one off IRL has a whole lot to do with confidence. Do let us know if you go the pant or jumpsuit route!

Along with that comes a trend for the modern bride: simple but chic. From Randi Raham to Nouvelle Amsale, these come complete with structured fabrics, flattering cuts, and most importantly, a little edge. Think high side slits and sleek cutouts.

Which Bridal Fashion trend are you on board with? Happy weekend, friends!
