Modern spring ceremony wedding inspiration

Anemone bridal bouquet

Hello, most lovely anemone bouquet! Isn’t it gorgeous? The Heirloom Table focused on the bride + ceremony in this shoot to create a design for the bride who loves an elegant, fine art feel, but wants to remain different and unique. They set up shop at One Eleven East (a space we first showed you last spring) where Brittany Jean Photography could capture all the natural light and floor-to-ceiling white brick walls. They sent along a few tips for elevating your ceremony design too!

The team was first inspired by this marble backdrop they snagged from We Just Click. The backdrop and the venue set the stage for the spring florals throughout…

We wanted to keep the bridal look feminine and timeless to offset the modern altar design. The classic YLS heels, cathedral veil, drop waist gown from Melange Bridal, tousled updo, and soft, feminine makeup created the perfect marriage with the alter design. Pun intended. LoLa Beauty specializes in this incredible natural glam style, and co-owner Lauren nailed this look!

Since the altar had such a fresh, modern design, they opted for a looser, softer version of it for the bouquet.

Lastly, a few thoughts on the altar: The altar is one of the most important pieces of a wedding. This is the cornerstone of the event’s design. It lets your guests know where you are going aesthetically with your reception… Let’s also be honest, some of the best pictures you will get at your wedding are the ones at the altar. It has to be special and unique!

We wanted to let the backdrop be the star of the show so we decided to go an unconventional route and have the florals adorn the bottom (traditionally one would start at the top). The wild, garden-like design brought a sense of warmth and relaxation to the strong marble backdrop and cold white walls. Delicate details like anemones, hyacinth, sweat peas, hellebores, and more added the proper dose of femininity. The bouquet included the same elements and looser shape to again add that softness the backdrop and venue call for.

So true! Thanks to the crew below for this spring ceremony inspiration + tips:
