Sunset color palettes are always a win in our books, but photog Cami Parker + Kate of Bloom + BluePrint Event Co. took things up a notch by following a desert sunset as it transitioned from a warm amber to a moody violet haze as the sun disappeared behind the cliffs. Did we mention they added pink smoke bombs in the mix? Yep, it gets even dreamier…

The team added dusty pinks + vintage brass to their burgundy, plum, blue, and gray color story, with blackberries and purple grapes adding to the romance.

Special touches included cut glass goblets in dusty blue and the brass flatware are vintage and sourced from all across the United States. These pieces are part of a vast collection, the largest source of tabletop vintage ware available in Arizona, from Fancy Lou Designs.

The ceremony took place in a cave at the bottom of a canyon, after a long and windy dirt road, and a 400 foot vertical climb to its hiding place. Inside the smoky cave were Turkish rugs, lush florals, and magenta pink smoke bombs. Looking out from the cave, a panoramic of the Tortilla Flat area in Arizona; Saguaros, tumbleweeds, ghost cactus tombs, and brush made for a muted, dry, but dynamic aesthetic. The ceremony was intimate and mysterious: a bride with jet black hair and deep plum florals cozied up to a debonair groom with piercing blue eyes.

Tortilla Flat and the surrounding desert are known worldwide for their proximity to the golden treasure located in the nearby Superstition Mountains. The Peralta legend, that vast amounts of gold are hidden in the region, lead to many expeditions even to this day. Climbing to a ceremony in a cave, and to an obscure plateau for a reception in this area carried such historical excitement and mystery.
