You all want to do something unique for your weddings, right? But still focused and romantic? Cavin Elizabeth Photography was looking for the exact same thing when she dreamed up this moody shoot in San Diego. So she took her inspiration out of the wedding world and into film, where she could study lighting and surprising creative decisions. Scroll through the photos for the sultry finished product…

Cavin of Cavin Elizabeth Photography says, The gorgeous and lush bouquet from Blooms by Breesa Lee was a delightful companion for our bride, who wore a very couture black gown by Paolo Corona Paris. Having come all the way from Paris, this striking dress features silk embellishments alongside the somewhat-transparent sleeves and peek-a-boo section of the legs.

Cavin of Cavin Elizabeth Photography says, One of the things I love to do is watch television and films, yet not in the traditional sense. Every second of the cinematic productions I watch, I’m looking at the lighting on the actors’ faces and the way the director of photography chose to frame the actors. It even distracts me from the dialogue and plot when the cinematography is exceptionally good.

Okay, can’t get enough of that signature Twinkle and Toast calligraphy over here…

Of course a cake this divine (mega props to Hey There, Cupcake) requires a stellar shot.
