Vintage New York City wedding: Joyce + Michael
Deconstructed elegance. That’s the theme that Joyce + Michael dreamed up for their wedding day, and we think that describes it quite perfectly! (Don’t you?) It’s full of all kinds of vintage details and elegant touches, set in a raw historic space. These two also made an effort to incorporate Egyptian and Balkan music to honor Joyce’s Egyptian roots and Michael’s Bulgarian background. Thanks Patricia Kantzos, for sharing the pretty photos with us…
Look at these twirling cuties! Such a sweet moment.
Experiencing major ring envy over here…
Joyce’s bouquet recipe: ranunculus, roses, eucalyptus, scabiosa pods, and anemones.
Joyce says, The whole venue was one big raw space, so we turned it in to a ceremony space, then cocktail space, then reception space all in one. It was pretty cool. We also displayed our parents’ and grandparents’ framed wedding photos around the venue and used props from the venue to decorate our space as we wanted.
Advice from the bride: Never feel pressure to do things a certain way. Follow your creative instincts and go with it. Others will appreciate your audacity and originality more than you would have expected.
Congrats you two!
