Modern Kate Spade dinner party inspiration
When we were asked to create a styled shoot using Kate Spade New York‘s lovely line of dinnerware, a few things happened. We were 1) beyond thrilled to use such an inspired home decor line in a shoot, and 2) instantly fell in love with their Castle Peak dinnerware collection. Modern, geometric, stylish – perfect inspiration for a dinner party hosted by a trendsetting bride for her most fashionable bridesmaids. Gorgeous photos by Erin Hearts Court helped us tell her story in a particularly beautiful way.
Naturally she would send out the most exquisite invitations. So to set the tone for our dinner party, Bliss & Bone created a stunning invite suite of dark leather, gold, and marbled accents. Anne Robin‘s calligraphy tied everything together is a perfectly sexy way.
How excited would you be to get that invite in the mail? Hand-lettered leather belly band… yes, please!
Of course the party wouldn’t be a party without a little bar. Love the mix of gold, black, and pretty ombre fringe from Geronimo… and the faceted vase and Larabee Dot decanter fit in perfectly. And, how amazing are those marbled balloons?
Every cocktail bar should adorn this poster by Anne Robin Calligraphy. We think she should start selling a few, don’t you?
The lovely ladies of Brown Paper Design created such perfectly romantic florals to soften some of the edges of the rest of the party.
And then of course there’s the dinner menu, courtesy of Taste of Pace. Super swanky and sexy, just like the ladies in attendance.
Some of the delicious bites on the menu:
Scallop ceviche, finger lime, trout roe, micro cilantro
Pumpkin gnudi, brown butter, fried sage
Pork rilletes, pickled shallot, parsley, paper crostini
Pumpkin mousse, chai whipped cream, pepita cookie crumble
If only every party was so expertly catered!
We loved alternating slate and white accent plates from the Castle Peak collection, for each place setting. And the matching serving platter would be gorgeous on it’s own for every day or special occasions.
Can we all agree that agate coasters with gold calligraphy are kind of amazing? We loved playing with textures and subtle patterns, by pairing geometric dinner plates with the black leather dots linen from La Tavola.
Every stylish hostess should have a fun serving bowl, even if it’s just for popcorn. Especially if said popcorn is being served with champagne in the cutest polka-dot glass!
We wrapped simple florist vases with patterned paper from Paper Source to add more pattern and playfulness to the table.
Oh, hello little giraffe friend! Aren’t you a fun addition to our table.
Isn’t it nice to have vases that go with the party theme too? The bud vase is a real sweetie.
Such a fun idea for a party with your besties! We hope this inspires some of you to plan a special night with your gals before your big day. There’s never too much celebrating to be had during the months leading up to your wedding. Might as well make each occasion spectacular!

The black and gold giraffe gave the table a punch of whimsy which I always appreciate. La Tavola always have stunning table linens to add spice to any party. I loved this one you chose and haven't seen it before. Thanks for showcasing it. Kudos to your team on a job stylish and creatively well-done. Simply inspired!! xoxo Simply Troy
