It’s time for a new tradition – bridesmaids need something borrowed too! Little Borrowed Dress is the first online wedding boutique to offer bridesmaid dresses for rent starting at just $50, giving brides the opportunity to choose a picture perfect dress in a way that all their bridesmaids can afford. And here’s the best part. Bridesmaids get to return the dresses! So their memories are of how fun the wedding was and not the once-worn dress gathering dust in their closet.

Why we’re loving Little Borrowed Dress:

* Their savvy prices: rental prices start at just $50. Don’t want to give the dress back?  All their styles are for sale too starting at $150!

* High quality dresses: all their dresses are 100% silk and manufactured locally in the Garment District in New York City.

* Smart design: shapes and colors to flatter all figures, designed with built-in adjustment points for a perfect fit.

* Simple process: renting is simple and stress-free. Simply place your rental reservation online and the dress will arrive in the mail two weeks before the wedding ready-to-wear. After the big day, drop them in the mail in the pre-paid packaging and they handle the rest.

You can get the process started by requesting a free fabric swatch on their site to ensure a perfect color match. And if you’re worried about fit the send a free “back up” size with every rental. Yeah, you can do no wrong, right? Little Borrowed Dress has got everything covered.

Genius idea! Although I'd need to try the dress on way earlier than 2 weeks before the wedding.

Exactly what every bridesmaid needs, especially when involved with "27 dresses" . Brilliant idea!

That is a great idea that I wish I would have come up with. I definitely have bridesmaid dresses that are picking up dust in my closet.

So very happy to hear this! So many bridesmaids will be happy to know about this! Brilliant idea!

Love the idea, love the dresses... Is there any chance you agree to ship your dresses to France ????

This is a great idea! I know that after being in multiple weddings, the cost of bridesmaids dresses can really add up -- so this looks like an awesome solution. I will check them out for sure.

Be careful when ordering from LBD. They change their dye-lot and when you think you are getting one color...2 weeks before your wedding they send you dresses that are 3 shades darker. I wouldn't recommend LBD to anyone. Very sweet people working there, but a very poorly ran company.

Here at LBD, we strive to make each and every one of our customers happy. For all bridesmaid dresses, including ours, dye lots will differ slightly and no two batches are exactly the same color. The colors will be the same color hue, but often are slightly lighter or darker shades of that color. This is why we guarantee you will get all your dresses from the same dye lot to ensure that all the dresses in your party match perfectly. We had a single instance where a bride received dresses from two different dye lots, so the shades were slightly off. To remedy the problem, we had two new dresses manufactured within days and shipped them out at our expense in time for the wedding to ensure the entire party was in the exact same shade. And for the inconvenience we also refunded one of the dresses that she had rented. Unfortunately, the bride preferred the slightly lighter shade of the original dye lot and was thus unhappy with her order. We cannot replicate a dye lot exactly, however, which is why we are very up front on our website and in our rental contract about the fact that the shade of the dress may differ slightly from the free fabric swatches. We never want to see an unhappy customer, but some things are simply out of our control. If you have any questions or concerns about dye lots or the colors available, please reach out to us at hello {at}
