Stonover Farm winter wedding inspiration

Stonover Farm wedding inspiration

Chilly temps and the winter season call for beautiful and snowy wedding inspiration, yes? So if you’ve got some tea or hot cocoa around, now is the time to sip and scroll through this white wedding shoot designed by Lyndsey Hamilton.

We were inspired by a recent wedding that we designed and produced, for which the main focal point was a beautiful barn located on the property. Most of the furniture pieces were custom designed by rEvolve Rentals. We wanted to keep the interior colors simple for the reception: winter whites and greens. The flowers were romantic, lush and feminine. The rosemary accents at each place setting complimented the season. The glassware, etched with what resembled a snowflake, gave a hint of  mid-century modern design.

As the reception was primarily white, we wanted to infuse color into this portion of the shoot. The inspiration of the color palette was largely drawn from the exterior colors of the barn. For the “after-party” space,  I wanted the design to feel like a natural extension of the outdoor space. The leather butterfly chairs and raw wood side tables beautifully complimented the more causal aesthetic.  The custom-designed bar matched the exterior of the barn, with the live-edge cherry top and distressed, corrugated metal front. The neon BAR sign was adorably kitschy and inspired by a vintage sign from a restaurant in downtown Manhattan.

The Randi Rahm dress was an ideal way to soften the rustic aesthetic of the barn, and create a bit of whimsy. The accessories were lovely: a fur cape is always chic with a wedding dress and the lucite accessories provided some throwback 1960s glamour. All fashion elements were sourced by stylist Julie Sabatino. The wedding dress sourced by Heidi Evora-Santiago, who owns the fabulous hair and make-up studio Damali NYC (responsible for the hair and make-up perfection in the shoot!).

Overall, the concept was to juxtapose the feminine, white interior with a masculine exterior, using raw woods and a deep, rich color palette.

This makes us want winter to stick around a while longer! Thank you to all the creative folks involved!
