While discussing the design of a fall wedding with one of her brides, Utah Events by Design couldn’t help but notice her bride was frustrated at the common impression that because she was having a fall wedding, her design elements would be limited to the standard fall palette of reds, yellows, oranges and browns and that guests would have to be surrounded by pumpkins, spice candles, and maple leaves. That cozy fall scene isn’t for everyone, so a new innovative wedding design took place. This gorgeous peach and plum one!

I wanted to use a deep, romantic and striking color. I couldn’t help but notice that part of what makes fall such a beautiful season is the striking contrast in colors from the bright yellows to the deep reds and rich browns. I decided if I was going to use shades of purple, I would need a lighter color to help soften the look. I selected peach for a few reasons: it provides a softer alternative to the popular fall color orange, it’s such a calming, feminine, and soft color. I also chose it because peach and purple are an unlikely color combination and yet they work so beautifully together. In addition to these colors, I introduced elements of golds and coppers throughout the details of the shoot to anchor the look and identify it as a fall color pallet and not a spring soiree.

I wanted to explore a watercolor look which would allow all the colors to run together much like the falls leaves did outside my office window. But I didn’t want the paper suite to be the only area where this style appeared in the shoot, so I decided to incorporate the watercolor design on the wedding cake.

I simply fell head over heels for the combination of peaches and purples in this shoot. I think this design encompasses the beauty of the fall season while offering alternative options for brides saying “I do” during the autumn bridal season.
Don’t you agree? We absolutely love this alternative fall look. Thanks to the creative folks below for sharing such pretty inspiration!

Fall just calls for a richness in color and decor. The deep purple and peach really work. I love the tall grass that the table was shot on. It makes a really beautiful effect.
What a coincidence! My brother’s wedding was this past weekend. I planned all the details from start to finish and used a combination of various plum shades, gold, grey, and green in place of the this shoot’s peach! It was beautiful, elegant, soft, romantic, and still very autumnal. I didn’t want the traditional November colors either, nor did I want it just plum and gold, which can look a bit heavy sometimes.
Love these images! Absolutely stunning!

I think the whole layout of this “Fall Wedding” is exquisite, elegant, and so very feminine.
A Great Job by a very talented Utah Events by Design wedding planner.
These are my two favorites so I can’t say what impressed me more as they all did.
Thanks, these photos are beautiful and portray the day perfectly! I am very happy I came across this during my search for something concerning this. Interesting post . Thanks for sharing
Can anyone tell me what the purple flowers (the ones that are standing up, kind of like tentacles) are called? I love them!
Hey Mahalia! Those flowers you love are called Standing Amaranthus in the purple color, they also come in light green. I love them too!
Can anyone tell me who those bridesmaid dresses are by? I looove the darker purple one and have been searching for it but can’t find it. I think it would work well as a maternity dress for one of my bridesmaids!
Nevermind, found it! It’s Amsale.
That’s a very wonderful cake.
I want that too on my wedding day!
Lovely work, as always Michelle! I agree. Just because your wedding is in the fall doesn’t mean you have to have fall colors. Your “intimate engagement” should reflect “your” taste! Kudos for incorporating the design your Bride and Groom desires!
