Craft beer tasting party

We apologize if it seems like we’ve neglected the gents around here, but thankfully Ginny Branch has not. She believes, the groom needs a stock-the-bar-party. The poor fellas endure endless seating arrangement strategizing and awkward first dance lessons, at the very least they should be rewarded handsomely with several bottles of good scotch and bourbon, yes? This story offers a few ways to jazz up an engagement party or even inject a little extra masculinity into the reception… gentleman’s corner, anyone?

Why not serve the menfolk bespoke brew samples and send them home with a signature ale, complete with a personalized label? Fill moscow mule mugs and mint julep cups with potted herbs and greenery… but have a full set gift wrapped with an accompanying bottle of liquor. Bonus points? Set up a station for wrapping cigars, preferably in a library complete with overstuffed leather chairs and at least a few wild game trophies.

Absolutely love everything about this party. And Ginny’s idea of having a little gentlemen’s corner at your reception? Such a great idea!

  15. Love this! I was going to do this for my husband’s birthday in September, but he chose golf instead. ;-D We do an annual wine party each December, and were thinking about doing a beer tasting another time in the year, so we thought this theme would be appropriate for the fall. Well, maybe another time, and now I have loads of resources to help me plan it! xo
