Can you tell we’re not ready to let summer (or the tiki party theme) go yet? It’s just too fun. Like this 60s inspired shoot conceptualized and photographed by Sarah Layne Photography. It’s got all the fixings of a good time. A bride changing from her reception dress into a retro baby blue bikini, poolside tropical drinks with kitschy names served in groovy goblets & glasses, beach ball accents, vibrant pink and blue flower arrangements… all accenting the vintage-inspired pieces that form a cozy lounge reception area by the pool. Let’s dip right into this one!

Patterned envelope liners, love them!

With images of 1960s bombshells like Bridgette Bardot dancing in their heads, the hair, makeup, and styling team transformed natural California beauty, Merrin into a sultry va-va-voom bride.

So happy Sarah shared this one with us. Absolutely love it and can’t wait to see if any of you recreate this for a bridal shower, bday party, or even your wedding!

Where did they find those striped drink parasols??
Miranda, they were handmade (and edible!) by Pam from Cake Ball Love.
Such a fun shoot to do with the best Southern Callfornia vendors. Wish every day was a 1960s summer!
