Every now and then a wedding comes along that’s so minimal, beautifully thought out and photographed in such a dreamy way. It’s almost calming to just look at Lauren + Joshua’s wedding, photographed by F5 Photography, but that’s why we love it so much. Who better to sum up the wedding than the bride: The inspiration was a modern, romantic wedding by the sea. It was important to us, that we didn’t have a “beach wedding” but rather an intimate wedding inspired by the surroundings – in our case the ocean. Our color palette was inspired by sea shells – so neutrals accented with metallics like copper.
I am a graphic designer, so I designed and produced our invitations. They were letterpressed and then hand painted with a subtle watercolor wash. We really liked the combination of the geometric shape of the invitation (a nod to modern) paired with the softer watercolor treatment.
