If weddings are a indicator of a couple’s personality, then Eunice + Dan are classy, know-how-to-get-down, fashionable people that had an incredible team of vendors back them up in throwing one gorgeous celebration. Studio Castillero, Sitting in a Tree, The Floral Lab, just to name a few. “Modern/vintage” were the two words Eunice used to sum up the entire feel they were going for, and their venue, the Estancia Hotel, fit that contradiction perfectly. It allowed them to keep a balance between soft and strong, east coast and west, rustic and urban with touches of their Korean heritage here and there. Weddings like this remind us how much we love our job. You’ll know what we mean once you sneak a peek at her Jenny Packham dress and coral bridesmaid dresses – stunning.

The wonderful Rachelle from Wiley Valentine worked her magic on their invitations. E + D created a custom design using deep pinks with a modern and soft charcoal grey. The envelopes had a burst of energy in the liners and cards were double printed. They saved a few dollars by not getting them letterpressed and still wow’d guests with the contemporary look and feel of the suite.

I tried on a lot of wedding dresses throughout my search, but the second I tried on Jenny Packham‘s EDEN dress, I couldn’t get the vision of the dress out of my head. It was the perfect non-wedding dress that I had always wanted. I loved the intricate beadwork and the gorgeous little sleeves…it just felt very me.  Because the dress had so much dimension, I kept the rest of my look simple.  A very, very light gold Christian Louboutin peep-toe with a bit of fabric twisting up the heel and art deco earrings from BHDLN.

We haven’t even got to the details and this wedding is already leaving us speechless. Just look at those bridesmaid dresses with an exposed zipper!

Sitting in a Tree Events brought in vintage lockers to give the rustic estancia an urban city feel, personalized graphic placemats and candles to warm up the ballroom, giving it that hip and romantic dinner party feel. The flowers, blush dahlias, pink peonies and peach English tea roses, were no less heavenly with creations by The Floral Lab.

The dapper and talented DJ Austin Hendrix brought the house down with an amazing mix. During dinner, he rocked their favorite bands – the XX, the Postal Service, Death Cab for Cutie, Phoenix, and Broken Bells. Their first dance was Adele’s “Make You Feel My Love” and the rest of their wedding reception was a mashup medley of classic 90′s hits and Glee songs!

They kept the dance party going with a little late night MIHO Gastrotruck, serving up nostalgic food from E + D’s favorite cities.

We’re just going to come out and say it – this bride is FIERCE! Oh, how we love when brides channel their inner fashion goddess on their wedding day! When Galaxie Andrews sent us Tammy + Michael’s wedding we swear clouds parted and voices in our head started singing hallelujah. Once it set in that this was a real wedding with a real bride wearing a real Christian Siriano dress, we grew green with envy. Tammy, girl, you pulled it off flaw-less-ly *snapping fingers left and right*! Pin this dress, save it and print it out, dream about it. This is one for the books. As you can see Christian Siriano brings out the diva in us!

A little fun fyi, Tammy is also a fashion blogger and works for Nasty Gal. Obvs.

Doesn’t that shot of the shoes remind you of a runway show? And, talk about shoes – we’re loving the Nasty Gal cameo with those bound platform wedges.

When New York hands you 75 degree sunny weather in October, make the perfect fall wedding and run with it. Knowing an fall wedding in NY would look beyond gorgeous, Allison + Kevin lined up their venue first, the Deer Hill B&B Inn, then let everything else fall into place. They kept their theme pretty loose – going for a colorful, welcoming, rustic, DIY feel with a mix of Southern hospitality and Northern warmth. In doing so, they kept things simple and heartfelt by reusing or repurposing things they already had access to – quilts, used furniture, signs and lanterns, yards of fabric, canning jars and the cheerful labor of many friends and family who pitched in and turned the wedding prep into almost a barn raising type of event.

Allison wanted a vintage dress but had no idea she’d find it so close to home. Like, in her grandmother’s attic close. Without thinking twice, Allison wore her grandmother’s party dress that her mother (Allison’s great grandmother) made for her. The shawl she wore during the ceremony belonged to her other grandmother’s grandmother, who wore it in her wedding in 1870 (wow!). All the other goods, leather belt, headpiece, petticoat crinoline, and their rings were found on Etsy.

The bridesmaids’ dresses were made by Louise of sohomode, who makes tea dresses out of vintage fabric. How cute are they?

Wooden apples, made by a friend who runs a wood shop in Buffalo using reclaimed wood from green demolition projects, were sweet favors that were also secretly fun bottle openers.

With hand drawn details and a hip vintage take on a Disney fairy tale, this wedding is the perfect way to keep us inspired despite having to return to work after a long weekend. We know we don’t know Lauren + Shil, but we know our lives would be a lot more fun if we did. He’s a radio publicist, and she’s an awesome illustrator (hence the charming illustrations you’ll see in their invitations, bridesmaid dresses, programs, activity book, and tote bag favors). She’s a Disney kid at heart with a Snow White-esque feel, who has always dreamt of a woodland creature themed wedding since she was a kid, complete with a forest and little animals. As luck would have it, Shil would be the guy that was just as into the idea as she was! Their wedding says it all!

I designed the invites myself and had them printed at a local print shop in town. It was kind of a daunting task!  It’s so much easier to design for other people! We ended up spending around $100 total for the cost of printing, envelopes, and a rubber address stamp – not bad!

Ok, we’re cheating by sharing their first dance song way before you see them dancing to it, but we can’t help it. The song, Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space by Spiritualized is too perfect. Listen to it here while you continue to swoon over their adorable wedding!

The most exciting project Lauren dabbled with was the bridesmaids’ dresses. She drew a fox and raccoon pattern and had the fabric printed via Spoonflower. Then wrote the lovely Whitney Deal to see if she’d collaborate on making a few dresses. Cute, yes?

Sometimes little details get overlooked. Not this time. Lauren + Shil, we see your hand painted poles lining your aisle, and we LOVE them!

As far as tunes go: Ripple by the Grateful Dead was played during the processional, the song Lauren walked to, you’re going to love this, was Love from Disney’s Robin Hood (so perfect for a woodsy wedding!), and their recessional song was This Will Be Our Year by the Zombies.

The first venue we looked at was The Barn at Price Mountain Farm in Pendergrass, GA. The minute we pulled up to the barn, we knew it was exactly what we wanted. The actual barn itself was the perfect blank canvas for our reception, but my favorite part of the venue was where our ceremony took place – - next to a big pond, with a spot right near the waters edge, surrounded by forest. It was so peaceful; all you could hear was the chirping of insects and the breeze through the trees. As you can see, we were married just how I always wanted, near a forest, by a pond, surrounded by cute little animals (in the forms of our friends and family).

We love a custom tote bag for guests! These cutie raccoons were obviously designed by Lauren, and printed through Satisfactory Printing.

An activity book? It’s killing us to see how many fun things these two thought of!

These illustrations remind us of a cuter, more modern version of the Fantastic Mr. Fox characters.
