Now that we’re back from this little three-day vacation, we’ve got one thing on the mind – more vacation! Today we’re basking in all that is glamorous in Courtney+ Hunter’s wedding. Vintage-inspired-seaside-garden party is what it’s all about, and we’re falling hard for it.

As the ceremony began Courtney was adorned with a triple strand pikake and Hunter with a Maile lei twisted with pikake.

Instead of one signature cocktail why not try three (we’re sure your guests won’t mind)! Mai Tai’s, Blue Moon’s and Old Fashioned’s made their way into guests hands alongside this drop dead gorgeous backdrop.

Wooden box crates and vintage napkins purchased at vintage expos, Etsy and Ebay provided the vintage-inspired look, while test tubes filled with Hawaiian Black Lava Sea Salt or Hawaiian Red Alaea Sea Salt (assembled by the couple themselves), gave way to the seaside garden party feeling they were after. Success!

Sitting pretty inside each centerpiece crate were: king protea, blue thistle, succulents, red ginger, red ti leaves, uluhe fern, dusty miller, and cymbidium orchids.

It’s out, y’all. And the Summer issue is just as lovely as ever. Thought you might like a little peek to get you in the mood for any sort of summer celebration. And there’s so much more delicious inspiration in the actual issue.

This super super cute Martha’s Vineyard wedding is worth buying the issue on it’s own. Lily and Charlie incorporated vintage, nautical, and French touches, with plenty of DIY elements to make it a sweet reflection of their relationship. It was a total family affair, with Lily’s brother and step-sister singing during the ceremony, her step-dad officiating, and her little brother singing some Elvis songs during the reception. Charlie’s mom made her famous molasses cookies for the dessert buffet.

It’s Friday, we’re in a fabulous mood with this three-day weekend ahead of us, so we’re going to do something a little different today. We’re going to share a birthday partay! When Alec Vanderboom sends you an event it’s pretty hard to say no to sharing it, and we thought you’d all love this birthday party for Ashley of we are the parsons. It’s perfect inspiration for any event you might be planning, wedding included!

Backyard Birthday Party

The mastermind behind this soiree? Jeremy, Ashley’s husband and second half of photography duo, we are the parsons. The bio on their site is a must read. It’s silly, heartfelt and will give you a glimpse into the fun life and love they have for each other and their two sons, referred to as “the brothers”.

With the help of all their friends coming together, Jeremy pulled off such a memorable event. We can only imagine the incredible woman Ashley must be! Thanks for capturing this celebration so perfectly Alec. You have us looking forward to throwing parties like this in the long Summer nights ahead. Happy birthday Ashley!
