An elegantly unique wedding invitation poster

Categories   Wedding Inspiration

Amanda found this invite while snooping around the I Am Always Hungry site last week. We were like, WHOA. WIth a little investigation we found that the project is an insanely talented collaboration between Ness of IAAH, Lisa of Birdie Birdie and Anthony of Battery.

The invite was enclosed in self-folding envelope which opened up to a 9″ x 18″ poster. So awesome. You can read Lisa’s description on her blog, but just to give you a taste, she created custom patterns and typography for the project.

Design is so simple yet makes such a statement. Being from South Louisiana myself I love how they included the culture of New Orleans : I deux, red beans, fleur de lis... Brilliant!

As a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana I LOVE this! When I saw the red beans and rice statement I KNEW there was a Louisiana connection. So lovely and so unique.

Amazing. Such an elegant approach! Proof that a one-color design can be just as impactful as multiple colors.

Meep! Amazing work! Personally, the invites are one of the most important aspects to a wedding. They set the tone and gives a glimpse into what's to come. Congrats to the couple and to the team for such amazing work!

THIS IS A GREAT IDEA...CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE I CAN FIND IT? I WOULD LOVE TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS FOR MY INVITATIONS?!

I think this looks super elegant but not so sure about the very centre as it is quite dark. But hey that can be easily fixed and I still love the idea. Thanks
