Amanda found this invite while snooping around the I Am Always Hungry site last week. We were like, WHOA. WIth a little investigation we found that the project is an insanely talented collaboration between Ness of IAAH, Lisa of Birdie Birdie and Anthony of Battery.
The invite was enclosed in self-folding envelope which opened up to a 9″ x 18″ poster. So awesome. You can read Lisa’s description on her blog, but just to give you a taste, she created custom patterns and typography for the project.

Isn’t it perrrty? This invite team is most definitely available to do custom invites so if you’re looking for something unique and completely beautiful, you might want to suss them out.

Design is so simple yet makes such a statement. Being from South Louisiana myself I love how they included the culture of New Orleans : I deux, red beans, fleur de lis… Brilliant!

Wow, this is so gorgeous. It’s so unique and FUN!
As a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana I LOVE this! When I saw the red beans and rice statement I KNEW there was a Louisiana connection. So lovely and so unique.
Amazing. Such an elegant approach! Proof that a one-color design can be just as impactful as multiple colors.
great invite!!! love the fold-out!
Meep! Amazing work! Personally, the invites are one of the most important aspects to a wedding. They set the tone and gives a glimpse into what’s to come. Congrats to the couple and to the team for such amazing work!
Wow, this is truly stunning.
THIS IS A GREAT IDEA…CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE I CAN FIND IT? I WOULD LOVE TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS FOR MY INVITATIONS?!
I think this looks super elegant but not so sure about the very centre as it is quite dark. But hey that can be easily fixed and I still love the idea. Thanks
