Apple orchard wedding inpiration in Mont Saint Hilaire, Quebec
This apple orchard wedding editorial coming all the way from Quebec has so many sweet and surprising elements, we can’t even pick a fave. Not only is the recently renovated Verger du Flanc Nord a total stunner, the flowers, décor, and this cake table situation are just so lovely. And we haven’t even got to the fun vintage getaway car idea or the super adorable alpacas roaming around the place! Julia of Junophoto and the teams behind foudamour and Une touche de magie have more for us below:
The first pretty detail that caught our eye was of course this cake by Bayard Gâteaux.
Perhaps it’s because the winters in Canada are so harsh that spring is so important here. The ambiance imagined was to be soft and bright, like nature waking up after the long winter. A sort of hymn to this season of many promises. For the shoot, we aimed for soft and faded colours, the palette being mainly based on a dusty blue and blush. Here and there, elements with bolder colors were incorporated to bring a beautiful contrast and a festive touch.
Cutest single-serve pies!
The groom’s deep mauve suit is a prime example of those more bold, contrasting elements the team was going for.
Spring also means life, so it was important for us to sprinkle the different sets with some lively details: as you can imagine that day it’s the Alpaca duo that stole the show! We love the idea of contrast and for us an ethereal atmosphere can also include a sparkling and playful side. Two looks were created for our bride, precisely to reflect this double identity; on one hand, a very elegant and vaporous style with more discreet hair and makeup and, on the other hand, a more bohemian styled dress, with bold lips well and more noticeable jewelry. The vintage Citroën decorated with coloured pom poms brings a joyful touch as well.
Pom poms and flowers = a 100% 100LC approved getaway car idea. Really digging how these guys mixed romantic and playful in this shoot.
We tried as much as possible to promote local products: cocktails were created by Le Tigre Bleu with ciders produced at the orchard, Bayard Gâteaux’s dessert table incorporated tasty apples, most of the flowers arrangements created by Oursin Fleurs were grown locally and the guests’ wedding favors, body soaps, are covered with wool from alpacas raised at Domaine Poissant, the orchard’s neighbouring farm. Let us finally mention that Mother Nature also invited herself to the party; right at the moment of setting up, a drizzle, but still very present, fell upon us. In the organization of a styled shoot as well as with love, it is necessary to know how to adapt and to face whatever may come your way.
Wouldn’t change a thing! Friends, be sure to check out the creatives below from Quebec and beyond…
