A warm, elevated fall garden wedding in Arkansas

February 29, 2024

Bailey and JP described their wedding style as a “whimsical, elevated garden party with a touch of Hollywood glam,” and these photos by 100LC vendor member Taylor Renee’ Photos (see her portfolio here!) evoke that feeling 100%. They were all about having a refined feel while making sure everyone felt comfortable enough to let loose and have fun. It’s a delicate balance, but how we love seeing it play out! Planner Amanda Reed Weddings and Arkansas wedding venue Greystone Estate, along with floral designer Ollie Marie’s came together to make their dream come true.

Scroll through the photos and find the couple’s saves, splurges, and planning advice below!

A Favorite Moment

Bailey explains, One of my most cherished memories from the day was seeing my sweet,  sweet husband-to-be rehearsing our first dance as the ceremony space was being set up. Myself, my mom, and the photographer, videographer, content creator were all in the grand room getting ready to take pictures of my mom helping me into my dress, when we looked out the window that overlooks the venue space and saw him going through the steps. It was so precious to see how important the day was to the both of us.

The 3D embellished bridal gloves were an unexpected addition, which absolutely made the look! They ended up being one of her favorite wedding purchases, and a big reason she recommends making sure your wedding budget has a little wiggle room, because there will inevitably be extra expenses all the way!

The bride’s hair and makeup team Urban Bleu Hair Salon made sure the guys got a little pampering on the big day, too, with a neck trim for each. BTW, if you’re planning a fall wedding, you’ll want to pin these groom and groomsmen looks, too!

The Venue

The design and flow of the entire day blew my expectations out of the water—and I think the key factor in that was that our venue felt absolutely perfect. The space itself was so mature and timelessly beautiful that the florals and decorations were like icing on the cake. I really loved the layout of having our ceremony space be the first thing our guests saw, and then they were able to walk down into the reception space for cocktail hour and dinner.

Fun fact: our venues setup actually allowed us to have the space from Friday at noon until Sunday at noon, AND since it was an estate we were able to have our entire wedding party stay overnight after rehearsal dinner. This made the morning of our wedding oh so lovely. After our rehearsal dinner, my husband and I and our closest friends all got to lounge around in this grand estate, play ping pong and billiards all night, and chit chat until we fell asleep. Being able to wake up at the venue made the getting ready process feel like I was floating through the morning… leisurely sipping my coffee and walking through the estate in my feather trimmed satin robe. I never felt rushed or anxious or stressed and I am beyond grateful for that to have been my experience.

Love the rust/terracotta tones when paired with blush for a soft fall wedding palette, don’t you?

Budget Saves vs. Splurges

As far as budget goes—we definitely went over but I would do it again. It was a big goal of mine to not have any regrets once it was all over and I have not one regret. My favorite splurge was our venue, photographer, planning, and florals. I can’t stress enough how important our vendors were do us. I knew that our vendors would be people and businesses attached to our special date forever, and I took that into consideration. I dearly appreciate the vendors we chose to work with and I believe it made a big impact on how our day went.

We chose to save money with a buffet style dinner instead of individual plated meals! We also reused a lot of our ceremony florals in the reception space.

Choosing Taylor for photography was key because I loved her energy, her professionalism, and I knew she would be the vendor that we spent the most time with. I also BELIEVE in her artistic vision and was just ecstatic to have her capture our day.

As mentioned, Bailey’s super fun mini dress with the oversized bow as well as her gloves, earrings, and getting ready robe were Untamed Petals. So fun, right?! She saved a bit of $$ by combining them with inexpensive shoes and by purchasing the bridal party PJs from Amazon.

Lastly, advice from our bride…

We ended up having a longer engagement that gave us plenty of time to plan! The biggest hurdle we had to overcome was managing the guest list. We knew the venue was limited in capacity compared to other nearby venues, so I would strongly encourage couples to make a list of priorities as to how you want your day to look and make a mock guest list. Also, make sure the decisions you are making are for YOU and YOUR PARTNER— not anyone else. There was definitely a lot of pressure and opinions from outside sources, and if you aren’t active in being mindful about what’s important to the both of you then I can see how the day can end up being for everyone else and now for the couple being honored and celebrated.

Congrats to the happy couple! Such a beautiful Arkansas wedding!
