Vintage barn wedding: Emily + Seth

February 25, 2016
Bridal bouquet

We sure love when a bouquet sweeps us off our feet first thing in the morn. Kinda perfect, right? Those peonies were sprinkled throughout the log barn and airy reception space at Badger Farms (which opened to a stunning countryside) and paired with Emily + Seth’s neutral, green, and pink color palette. If you’re looking for sweet, elegant, and romantic, you’ll happily pore over Geneoh Photography’s photos…

E + S met in medical school in WI and had guests traveling from all over, so they wanted to share everything local with their 175 guests. Emily tells it, We wanted everyone to experience our celebration on a long summer afternoon and evening in Wisconsin. We ate local summer produce and drank local beer… We chose Badger Farms because of its great indoor and outdoor spaces. The main room has great high ceilings with lots of light, and big windows that look out onto acres of Wisconsin prairie and farmland. We ate dinner in an open air converted garage with huge doors that opened on to that same landscape. It was so beautiful, people actually clapped during dinner as the doors opened on to twilight over the prairie.

As for music, the wedding party walked out to Heavenly Day by Patty Griffin, the bride walked out to Can’t Help Falling in Love by Ingrid Michaelson, and their first dance was to Otis Redding’s That’s How Strong My Love Is.

A few words from their planner, Kayla of Juneberry Weddings & Events

Emily and Seth were married in a multi-story 1920s barn with custom log staircases and vaulted ceilings, under a lush floral archway designed by Daffodil Parker. Emily’s delicate lace dress complemented the softness of the rural setting, and the simplicity of the surroundings highlighted the incredible florals found throughout the day… Music filled the nighttime sky as guests danced and celebrated both in the log barn and under the stars. The wedding day was a beautiful celebration of this couple’s great love for one another and for the special people in their lives!
