This stunning beach locale just so happens to be the happy couple’s wedding venue, too:
Hillary says, We originally weren’t interested in doing an engagement shoot, but Nessa, in all her wisdom and experience, steered us in the right direction. Since we aren’t particularly comfortable in front of the camera, an engagement shoot let us practice for the official day and let Nessa get familiar with us as a couple before we were wrapped up in the pressure of the wedding day.

These two have many happy memories on the Chesapeake, so even though they’d never been to this beach before, there was an instant connection. Once they decided on Northbay Adventure Camp as a venue, they knew it’d make a great e-sesh spot to.
I love looking back at our engagement shoot, because I still feel the excitement and nervousness of being in this special place with the person I was going to marry—imagining all of our guests arriving, looking forward to sharing it’s beauty with all of our friends and family, and wondering about what was to come. I was a little worried that having the engagement shoot at the same place the wedding was being held would be too repetitive, but the photos are totally different, and I actually love that I have the images of us in the months leading up to the wedding—it’s more reflective of the ten years we were together before becoming husband and wife. The images from the wedding mark the start of our new journey, and I love that the location is what’s linking our story together.
