Intimate destination Palm Springs wedding: Johanna + Michael

From what we’ve learned about interior designer + architect Johanna + Michael, we think they’re pretty cool: From Italy, they chose two gorgy Palm Springs venues, the lush and intimate Casa de Monte Vista + Hotel Lautner in Desert Hot Springs (the only accessible John Lautner property in the world). And they took their 21 guests on a three-day tour of their fave SoCal spots—Santa Monica, Stahl House, rehearsal dinner at Birba Palm Springs—to truly experience the area. See, pretty cool. Thanks to Birds of a Feather for proving it with the photos!

On choosing venues…

Ceremony: When you walk through the main gate you enter paradise. Knowing that Joe does nearly everything by himself you can feel his love and passion for the place. The combination of the lush garden and the setting of his casitas and the main house offers many intimate areas for different functions. This makes it the perfect place for smaller weddings like ours and also for big ones. You never feel lost and you always have the sensation of being at home. This is one of the main reasons we have chosen it.

Reception: Iconic architecture, desert style, mountain views, stunning sunsets and the freedom to create your own tailor-made event made it the perfect place for our reception. As architect and designer we fell in love with the only accessible John Lautner property worldwide and we adore how Tracy and Ryan (the owners) brought it back to life after being abandoned for many years.

These two pulled the whole thing off from Europe, visiting Palm Springs only once mid-planning, and with the help of My Little Flower Shop day of. Can you believe it? Michael says, All, really all the involved parties were helpful, highly professional, on time, precise, loved our ideas and helped us to create an unforgettable wedding. Our main goal was to share our love and to make it for our guests and us a memorable, relaxed day full of harmony. We would do it again in the exact same way we did it and we’ll never forget what all the involved persons did for us to make it our best day ever!

Congratulations!
