It all started along an oak tree lined street in Jacksonville, Florida, where stylist Taylor L. Ghost + Christina Karst Photography (remember when these two teamed up for an art gallery editorial?) met up with this charming bride Katie and her real-life maid of honor Katy. They all took their favorite feminine Audrey Hepburn and Mad Men era inspirations and set out to transform them into a very darling scene…

They gathered a team of neat vendors like Becky Cardenas of The Wilding Collective who punched up the color palette with these vibrant blooms.

From Taylor:

To create the mood and design of this inspiration shoot, I looked at the essence of Audrey: her characters, the classic style she carried so well, the way she danced through life and embraced femininity with such ease. I also took into consideration postwar attitudes and ideals prevalent in the 1950’s. I asked myself and the other vendors involved, what would the Audrey Hepburn of today be like? What would sort of bride would she be? Because the shoot features both Katie and her reallife maid of honor, it was easy to embrace those questions and really turn the feminine factor up a notch!

Just a little peek at Perfect Imperfections by Jeanne‘s striking vintage pieces. They also used this mustard shade for the ring with The Mrs. Box in our gallery below.

Taylor says, The daring lens through which Christina sees the world captured every detail in such a way that one can’t help but feel lifted and happy as they gaze upon the photos. To be honest, she makes all of those around her happy like that by being such an engaged friend and photographer. Any bride would be more than lucky to include her in their special day!

Amazing work everyone!
