Rustic, modern Dana Powers House wedding: Jamie + Andrew

These two aren’t just beautiful. They’re weird, ridiculously goofy, crazy cat loving people who just love the heck out of each other, and know how to throw one gorgeous wedding. Jamie never picked a color for her wedding. Instead she picked a handful of colors of tones that went well together: peach, grey, cream, gold, blush, and oatmeal. She knew she wanted sparkle and whimsy but nothing over the top. Jamie also used to be an interior designer and is now a manager for Anthropologie, so both of those kind of collided into one big pretty party, photographed by Marcella Treybig.

Jamie’s bridal bouquet recipe: King Protea, Tillandsia, Garden Roses, Poppies, Ranunculus, Sweet Pea, Hydrangea, Eucalyptus and glitter covered Succulents.

Such a pretty centerpiece! And did you notice it’s surrounded by glitter votives?

Jamie gathered her Anthropologie girls and had a ‘garland’ party where they spent an entire night making the tissue tassel garlands that were hung behind the head table.

Andrew made the chalkboards seen throughout the wedding using old picture frames from Goodwill and Salvation Army. He painted the frames peach and grey, and their good friend, Jen from The Trim Shoppe did all of the lettering by hand.

Something Jamie learned after the wedding: Order twice the amount of cupcakes! Our guests literally started stealing the cupcakes before we cut the cake because they looked so good! We had four different flavors and had planned on 2 per person, but people wanted to try all four which left some of our guests without any. One of our friends owned up to eating SEVEN of them!!! But really, we loved the whole process, even the crazy it brought with it. I honestly miss staying up till 2am embossing place cards talking about wedding songs with my husband. The more delirious you are the better the ideas that come out.

SO much more pretty to see from their wedding in our gallery!

Great advice from Jamie: We saved money by not doing wedding favors, wedding programs or menus. We utilized the chalkboards instead to get the information to our guests while the photo booth did double duty of being entertainment, a guest book AND a memento to take home. Also, plan early and take your time!!! Get your groom involved in every aspect, because the day is about him too! Take into consideration the 10,000 recommendations/opinions you’ll receive from everyone you know but only do what you actually want. Don’t lose sight of what the day is all about, and most importantly just enjoy yourself with your new cute husband! The wedding day goes by insanely fast, take the time to reflect while you are still in the moment – no one is going to notice that your cake topper is missing if you don’t mention it.

Well said. Congratulations you two!
