Everything about Rachel + Andrew’s wedding is beautiful. Gah, just the dress alone, right? They didn’t have the easiest time picking a theme or colors so they went with what they felt, not worrying about what colors would look pretty together. They wanted guests to feel cozy, like they were at a banquet in their own backyard, so they came up with the idea of the “Heritage Lounge” – a homestyle country wedding meets ferns and dreamy forest with some touches of silver elegance. They wanted a sense of timelessness, and we think they totally achieved it, and then some. Click here to jump over to the entire gallery of images! Halfway down the drive to the ceremony site, I realized I forgot my bouquet at the house I was waiting in. The wedding party had already started down the aisle so when the procession paused, people were getting worried. My uncle jokingly called out “Don’t worry Andrew, her dad will bring her back.” It was a great moment to laugh and for Andrew to take a few moments of release before I came down the aisle.

That backdrop is beautiful!

Our good friend, Zac Jensen whose dad owns a custom cabinetry business in Salinas (Jensen & Co.) handmade the head table, our belly bars, and etched wood signs.

They wanted a rustic look without the price of renting wood tables so to cut costs they made them!

And since they saved a lot of money by making their dining tables, they decided to splurge with their flowers. We agree that it really pulled everything together and put the wow factor in their wedding.

A little something they learned from the whole wedding process: We really learned to allow others to be a part of creating a memorable day for us. We both felt the day of that we couldn’t take credit for the culmination of all the love and talent of our vendors and friends. They really put on a beautiful wedding for us. We just gave them the decor and the ideas and let them make it happen. I felt it was important not to make everything about me while at the same time allowing people to shower their love on me and make me feel special. Don’t get me wrong though, sometimes you got to reign it in and tell people you don’t want any burlap!

Perfect way to start off the week, right? Congrats to the lovely couple!
