Blush destination wedding in a 17th century convent in Antigua, Guatemala

Sometimes it’s ALLLL about the venue! This spot is seriously stunning (her dress isn’t too shabby either) and definitely makes us look forward to the chance to gather together for a celebration *in person* like the old days. Sure destination weddings are on hold at le moment, but there’s no harm daydreaming where you’ll tie the knot when the time comes. Also, please sign us up for a trip to Antigua as soon as possible… whenever that might be.

Huge tip from our couple, Caroline and Ross…

“If you plan to have a Destination Wedding (as we highly recommend!), we suggest to absolutely hire a local wedding planner who knows the venue and vendors in the area. Our wedding planner was able to handle a lot of “on the ground” errands and tasks that just weren’t possible for us to do from afar. She also knew the local laws and customs of the city and venue so that there were no surprises and we knew what to expect.

If possible, we also recommend working with a local travel agent to help provide activities for your guests to participate in outside of the wedding events. It made such a big difference to our guests that they were able to do local activities that made it feel like they were getting the most out of the trip.”

Imagine how pumped your guests will be for their first trip in forever! Reason enough to plan a destination wedding.
