Happy Friday, Cakies! Any Seattle friends out there get the chance to pop by Crate and Barrel‘s latest private registry event? It followed a delicate, ethereal theme with minimalist details and pops of color, like in this incredible wedding cake above. Tamara of Simply by Tamara Nicole brought all their ideas together into an editorial shoot with Blue Rose Photography behind the lens so that everyone who missed it could still be inspired by this modern spring design. So pretty!

Tamara of Simply by Tamara Nicole tells it, We wanted this shoot to be curated modern—colorful, playful, painterly  I drew inspiration for this shoot from paint strokes, abstract art, minimalism, pops of fun colors, and fine art weddings!

Naturally a Leanne Marshall gown with a couple pops of color was a must for this artistic design.

Yep, safe to say we’re obsessed with this floral wedding cake by Blue Box Bakery.

The other gown from Lovely Bride Seattle was Anna Kara‘s sleek floral gown complete with a dreamy cape.

We had two different tablescapes. The first one was more colorful with pops of coral, peach and bright yellow, with white on white on white. The textures in the centerpieces by Botanique were so playful and fun! I loved the cut-out table number by The Fancy Cat Studio as well.  We brought in some pillows from Crate and Barrel to add more color.  We also alternated the seating “cards” from colorful laser cut and engraved (and white painted) names by Pomp and Revel, with acrylic candy boxes of grapefruit gummy bears, with names by The Fancy Cat Studio.

The second tablescape was more minimal with the only flowers being branches, and the only color being various tones of teal/turquoise. Botanique used Heath Ceramics vases to hold the branches on this table, and of course we used various items from Crate and Barrel to keep with the aesthetic. I loved the tufted leather chairs at this table! Also the pop of black on the two toned flatware from C&B.
