Tropical bridal shower in Ontario

We’ve sure seen a lot of tropical weddings + parties here on 100LC, but we’ll never tire of a classic party theme filled with thoughtful touches, especially when it’s as special as a bridal shower. Marisa + Aaron got engaged in Hawaii, so our bride-to-be knew she wanted at least one of the festivities to have a little tropical flair. So, tropical bridal shower it was! The result was a day jam-packed with details, from a pineapple wall to tropical dresses to hula dancers and more. Thanks to Elizabeth in Love for sharing the photos!

Marisa works as an event coordinator (can you tell?!) for Edge Hospitality in Ontario, so they set up at one of their spectacular outdoor venues, the Harding Waterfront Estate. This venue looks pretty epic, if you ask us!

A little backstory… Aaron and Marisa got engaged in Hawaii in March 2016 which seems fitting since they are both obsessed with warm weather, palm trees and lifelong plans to escape their Canadian winters permanently. Immediately after their engagement Marisa knew she wanted to have a tropical aspect in somewhere. The wedding was going to be a bit more formal so she decided that the bridal shower was going to be the fun tropical event.

One of their fave details was the luau performance that surprised guests during the shower. Super fun!

Marisa says, My favours were different books for each of the ladies who attended. I wanted to show how each of them have helped to write the pages of my life. I tried to find a book that best suited them and inside I wrote a thank you note along with favourite memory we have shared… It was such a nice feeling seeing them open the books and appreciate the words that I had spent time thinking of. It made me smile and after having cramped hands for a good few weeks—it made me happy to see how it was worth it.

Cheers to Marisa + Aaron!
