A website will give your guests the ability to find answers to the most frequently asked questions about the wedding, so they don’t have to constantly contact you. Also, it’s where your registry will live. The registry can feel like an etiquette landmine because technically you’re not supposed to list it on your save the date or your invitations. However, your website should absolutely be included on both of those, as it will include all the pertinent information that your guests will need for the wedding weekend. Here are some our favorite tips to keep in mind when creating your wedding website:
Finish your wedding website before your Save The Dates go out
This might feel early, but you’ll want to make sure that the website is listed on the bottom of your Save The Dates and ready for viewing. This way guests can start booking their travel plans asap!
Make sure every event listed, is for every guest
We suggest putting all of your wedding weekend info on your website unless some events are invite only. In that case, you’ll want to leave those events off the website so you can avoid guest confusion.

Choose a website theme that fits with your wedding theme
Although you don’t need to have a fully fleshed out wedding design before you pick your website, you should have an overall style and color palette in mind, and you’ll want your website to be in line with that vision. Skip the online RSVP option
This is a tempting one! And sometimes it works… but more often than not, it creates more work for you and possible confusion for your guests. Your less tech-savvy guests may not be clear on how exactly to RSVP, and other guests might simply forget to RSVP altogether. There’s something about having to put an envelope in the mail that sticks out in people’s minds. Lastly, paper RSVPs feel a bit more formal and can elevate the celebration!
