Colorful San Francisco Indian wedding: Rachel + Abhishek
We always love it when a wedding brings multiple cultures into one epic celebration (Recall this Florida garden wedding with traditional Albanian elements?), so when Alison Events sent this one our way, we couldn’t wait to get it up on le blog. Rachel + Abhishek said “I do” with both an Indian Jain ceremony and a traditional Western ceremony.
They snagged photog Kate Webber to document the day and loved her laidback energy. Rachel says, When we looked at her website, she had a great collection of both candids and portraits that captured the unique and special moments of wedding celebrations. Her work was timeless, meaning you could look at her photos and they could be from many points of time or era. The evidence, below…
Rachel’s Indian lehngas (dress) is from Sahil Boutique in Chicago + all the bangles in the bridal party are from India.
The historic Fairmont made an elegant venue for their “classic city” wedding. The Crown Room has 360 views of San Francisco… Sigh!
These two had one year to plan a wedding with two very different ceremonies. It got a little tricky planning a horse for the groom to ride in on… But it all came together beautifully!
Ah, a bouquet with the biggest peonies around… Swoon.
Such romantic florals from Natalie Bowen dotting the whole reception space.
