Malibu vineyard wedding: A + M, part 2

Categories   Real Weddings

Here we are again, continuing on our little journey that is A + M’s sweet wedding. Have we mentioned that we love this wedding to the core? We’re ready to share the gorg details that were happening in their reception so, read on!

The wine barrels provided by the venue + the charming rustic pieces from Found Vintage Rentals, help to create the whimsical and rustic feel that A + M were looking to get with their ceremony/cocktail area.

As guests wandered up towards the reception area in the evening they were greeted by large oak trees with dripping lights and chandeliers. I created two lounge areas and tied together the previous décor with vintage furniture but accented them with gold and mirrored pieces to create a more luxe vibe. We also used a mirrored French table for our desserts with a satin background and chiffon florals. We used gold chiavari chairs for the dinner tables but kept the florals in vintage vases to tie the entire event together. Our wedding planner Nancy from So Happi Together, suggested using an aqua table runner which I loved and I think really made our table settings pop!

The stop motion film we created was a labor of love. We spent every weekend for a couple months storyboarding, shooting, reshooting, and then editing. We both love the film 500 Days of Summer and wanted to create a rendition where the boy and girl end up happy together. We’ve been together roughly 5 years, so we named it 2000 Days… The film starts out with the current day, then flips back to Day 1 (our first date at a coffee shop), Day 700 ( represents 1/3 into our relationship as we share our love for music), Day 1400 (2/3 into our relationship when we fall in love) and jumps back to the current day. We had so much fun finding (and sometimes sneaking into) some of the original locations in the movie. I’ll never forget the fun we had shooting it!

Wow, this wedding was top notch excellent and awe-inspiring! Congrats A + M! We now leave you with their super cute stop motion video!

Thanks so much for the feature! I loved working with this whole team!

After reading Part 1, I thought their ceremony music *may* have been influenced by (500) Days... I loved the choice of something non-traditional and funky like The Pixies mixed with the traditional wedding march. And now Part 2 shows that it really WAS an influence with all these wonderful details - I'm just in love with all of this! From the invitations down to the drink station, everything is so beautiful and fresh and elegant, while also bringing in that non-fussy, homemade touch. Beautiful work.

Amanda! Thank you for the lovely post! We are thrilled! One note - most of the amazing lounge furniture you see here was actually provided by Found Vintage Rentals! They are wonderful to work with and have great props for everything you need! Only the barrels were provided by the venue :) we had a stellar team of vendors and it was an honor to work with them on Audree and Matt's beautiful wedding. I love those two!!

beautiful details, especially the cake!!! love the pastel pattern and the adorable cake topper!!

Hi! The cake topper was made by Lauren Alane. I found her on Etsy a year before our wedding and was in love with her birds! She had just gone on hiatus due to a pregnancy and kids but I told her i would wait for her. =) I kept following up with her and waited for her right up til our wedding and think i might have been one of her first customers after her return. She was great to work with and even sent us several swatches to match our colors. We plan to put them on our bookshelves to remind us of our wedding day =) Check out her owls too...sooo cute! Audree

I really like the china. Where did you get them? I also love the mirrored tables. Are they also from Found Vintage Rentals?

You make me want to be a wedding planner! I want to 'blow up' all your photographs and create a giant collage of amazingness.

Such a lovely color scheme and wedding theme/name !

I noticed that the cake topper made by LaurenAlane was not included in the wedding details listed below the stop motion video. LaurenAlane is in fact up and running and actively taking orders so people should know how to contact her for their wedding. Beautiful wedding, loved the 500 days of Summer type of inspiration!!!!!

There were so many lovely touches to the wedding - would it be wrong to replicate the exact wedding for myself?:). This definatley makes me want to have an outdoors wedding, using the tear drop lighting along with the chandeliers for romantic touches.

The whole setting is so charming & romantic, I love all the details in this wedding. Your table settings really stand out, the plates you selected are beautiful, and the way the flowers are spread out across the talbes are so nice, blend in well with the candles. Love your wedding cake & topping, & the desserts look so yummy! Congrats!

What brand is the china? Were they rented? Gorgeous!

I really like the style of your wedding, it looks fantastic. The choice of the venue is excellent and never thought you could get a venue in a vineyard. I personal choose a classic option, beautiful halls in a British old university.
