Real wedding: Betsy + Ben
Good first week of October, Cakelets! We have a beautiful lake-side wedding, with mobile gourmet (remember our post for unruly things?? Yay!), and what looks to be a ceremony at the end of the pier, from one of our very favorite ladies, Michèle M. Waite.
What a pretty, simple eucalyptus bouquet. They ordered their flowers and greenery from a wholesaler and the moms, aunts, cousins and Betsy’s sister arranged them the day before.
(And clearly Ben can jump higher in his flip flops, let’s just get that straight.)
See? Pier. It’s perfect. Even if the rest of the guests can’t hear what’s going on.
Man, those burgers look divine. They’re made from grassfed beef and bacon jam. Hello!
Ben made all of their chalkboards and Betsy’s mom did the lettering. Nice job, you two.
And cones! Betsy, you’re quite a looker in your short dress and red pumps. Congratulations both of you! And thanks so much for letting us share your party.
Photography: Michèle M. Waite / Location: Aunt, Uncle & Grandmother’s houses on Lake Sammamish / Party Band: The Paperboys / Ceremony Accompanist: Hideki Yamaya / Catering: Skillet Street Food / Ice Cream: Molly Moons Truck
Rentals: Grand Events and ABC / Dress/bridesmaids/MOB Dress: J.Crew – Betsy says “Larissa at the University Village store in Seattle was so incredibly helpful, can’t recommend them enough.” / Shoes: Kate Spade

Haha what a fun couple. I love the pier shots. :)

I love the first shot when they are jumping in the the air and clicking their heels. How in the world did they do that! What a cool place to get married... on a pier. These look like they type of people who would be interested in having their reception in a geodesic dome.
