Gramercy Park Hotel wedding: Carly + Dan

Categories   Real Weddings

When Carly and Dan began planning their wedding, they knew they wanted to have a small, intimate event that felt less like a wedding and more like a formal dinner party. They wanted to make sure their party felt uniquely New York, but also summery, and also wanted to stick to their budget. They wanted their families to mingle, and to share their marriage with the people closest to them. They chose the rooftop deck at the Gramercy Park Hotel (which is a completely amazing space) and even though it rained all day, the glass roof made the whole experience perfect and romantic.

We’re pretty comfortable saying that this wedding achieved everything they hoped for. It’s so perfectly sophisticated and intimate and stylish. And they chose some of our favorite vendors, which never hurts.

soooo cute!

Mmmmm. Black and white. There are so many ways to make classic new. Like, hire Anna Bond for a twist of beautiful whimsy.

Holy amazing room full of light bulbs!! Worth throwing a party at the GPH just for these photos, no?

Beautiful wedding, Carly & Dan!

Does anyone know where we can see more photos of this wedding? I looked on their photographer's website but there was nothing there. I would love to see more of the centerpieces and bouquet.

This wedding is beautiful. I have to say that I am obsessed with her dress, mostly because of the tiers. They are so in right now and we recently wrote a post about them as well: This couple has some amazing style!

the flashdance on Oct 7, 2009

loving the black tie attire... with all these "indie" & "vintage" wedding trends, it is great to see some class that doesn't need an adjective to make people understand what is good about it! they will be loving those photographs for decades to come because they are timeless. nice post.

Amy Jo on Oct 7, 2009

Her dress is STUNNING!!!

I love the invitations and the wedding cake. But what's admirable is the bride's stunning wedding dress and the groom's black tux, very elegant. Small light bulbs hanging above the ceiling illuminate the whole reception area, giving the photos a nice, sophisticated touch to it.

Anne @ The City Sage on Oct 26, 2009

What a stunning wedding--the prettiest I've seen in a while! Those lightbulbs are astounding, and her dress is divine. Congrats to the happy couple!

What a beautiful wedding. I love the lighting, and the dress is beautiful! I know that the dress is Morgane Le Fay, but would you mind me asking which collection it is from/what style it is? I cannot seem to find it!
