The Ruin Venue sits on 160 magical acres in the Pipes Canyon area of Pioneertown, CA near Joshua Tree. It was purchased in the early 1920's by a family of miners looking for gold and copper and they built a beautiful little stone house to live in as they pursued their dream of finding riches in the rocks. However, when the mine filled with water in 1926, they sold the property to a true pioneer woman - Ms. Camilla Hudson, who lived to be 100 years old. The property stayed in the family until we purchased it in 2004.
Time, Mother Nature and vandalism took its toll on the little stone house and the roof, windows and walls began to cave in and crumble, turning it into a true ruin of a house. After we purchased it, we dreamed of cleaning it up and having dinner in front of the massive stone fireplace under the stars but that was just a dream until 2012 where we finally said it's time to rescue our little stone house and breathe new life into it and The Ruin Venue became a reality!
