Spring garden wedding ideas
Anyone else totally enamored by all the springy bouquets popping up lately? It’s amazing how color preferences can completely change with the seasons. Even if you haven’t set your sights on a garden wedding, the photos Sarah Hannam snapped at the Illuminated Collective wedding photography workshop in Cotswolds, England are pretty darn charming. Abundant peonies, sumptuous desserts… What’s not to love?
Sarah explains, Barnsley House is a highly sought after wedding venue, as the gardens are simply beautiful. Literally everywhere you look is a perfect place to take a stroll amongst lichen-covered statues, trickling fountains, topiary, and riots of colourful blooms, or sit awhile daydreaming beneath the wisteria arbor. Ceremonies are held in the tranquility of a folly beside the ornamental pond garden, which is where we photographed until the sun disappeared behind the trees and the air grew cool. As the day drew to a close, it was time to say goodbye to this awesome team and head back west, but not before enjoying a little supper in the village pub. In hindsight it is probably a good thing I missed the hotel’s outdoor spa or I think I may never have left.
That envelope color… The epitome of spring, right? Love Juliet Grace Design‘s calligraphy.
The Rose Shed whipped up bridal bouquets to cater to both ends of the spectrum: a bright peony bouquet with ranunculus and snapdragons, and a simple white bunch of buddleia to contrast.
Sarah’s delectable description of the desserts: Cakes of white and pink ruffled chocolate bouffants adorned with flowers and tables with peaches, blush pears, and garlands of fragrant eucalyptus.
What a spread. Mega sigh.
Thanks to Sarah Hannam for sharing her lovely work with film, and of course the team below…
