Romantic old world destination wedding ideas in Tuscany
We know, we know, we’ve sort of been all about those European weddings as of late. From this floral wedding in England to the sweetest Apulia editorial, we never tire of seeing some of our top wedding colors, like soft pinks, gold, and creams, combined with a beautiful historic venue or old world backdrop. And even if you aren’t planning to jet off to Italy for your nuptials, there’s still so much to be inspired by. This time around, we’re taking it up *another* notch with a ‘love in Tuscany’ inspired shoot OctaviaplusKlaus Photo & Film teamed up with PomPom Your Life! to bring to fruition:
With Villa Catureglio in Tuscany as their muse, the team set out to create a wedding design that was as timeless and organic at the region itself. With a little added luxury, of course!
Velvet and linen were the main textural inspirations, adding a more sophisticated and luxurious appeal to the natural settings and elements involved.
And a little background on the venue, if you’re dreaming up a Tuscan wedding yourself…
The location is a stunning old Tuscan villa with a long history. It dates back to the 13th century and is nestled in the hills overlooking the Garfagnana valley. The owners, a British family, restored the villa with a lot of love for details. The location is perfectly made for a destination wedding and can host up to 120 guests and up to 41 guests can stay on site with two pools, a small frescoed chapel, beautiful gardens and rustic cottages.
Mega obsessed with this hairstyle Valeria Beauty dreamt up with a pretty hairpiece with flowers from Milles Fleurs. It was created to show brides an alternative to the flower crown trend for those that love flowers, but want something a little more grown-up and elegant looking. They paired it with rose quartz bridal jewelry and the most stunning lace and tulle gown by Israeli designer Adi Shlomo.
The dinner reception was out in the back garden on a long wooden table surrounded by traditional wooden chairs and fairy-lit olive trees. The dinnerware, that was placed on a large tablecloth made of 100% stonewashed linen, is made of handmade ceramics with an organic shape and beautifully decorated with a light pink watercolor pattern. The matching glasses are true vintage from France. Small brass taper candle holders give the table an elegant and sophisticated touch. The centerpiece of the table is wild and flowing and golden flatware completed the color concept with a golden accent.
The calligraphed fabric backdrop at the altar featured a poem hand written by Maria Shtelle.
But really, we could go on and onnnn about the dress alone.
