Modern Mojave Desert wedding inspiration

June 29, 2015
Modern Desert portrait

The desert never ceases to find new ways to impress. In this modern Mojave shoot, Kristen Joy Photography + Opal Floral wanted to balance a jewel-toned color palette with mid-century charm on a dusty windswept landscape. This whole scene shot in the outskirts of Las Vegas is refreshingly elegant, with sumptuous calligraphy and a slightly tropical twist.

Amanda of Opal Floral says, Tropical flowers find a new home amidst local wild flowers, and silk ribbon flows in the breeze. Uniquely understated jewelry pairs perfectly with the bride’s natural makeup and loosely curled locks, also tying in gold and copper details throughout. Clean lines allow intricate details to shine, like in the pristine white cake with a cluster of coordinating flowers, and the hand-drawn calligraphy of the invitations and menus bringing elegance and sophistication to the party.

What did we say about the Open Ink Stand‘s calligraphy? Divine.
